What are the effects of photocatalysis?

The effect of photocatalysis is to break down the VOCs (volatile organic compounds) present in the air within the vicinity of the radiation. (Refer to the photocatalysis diagram)

Negative ion air purifying light bulbs also have the capacity to produce negative ions (3,000,000 per second) on account of the carbon anode located in the centre of the bulb (the ioniser), to restore the balance between positive ions and negative ions in the air.

In fact, indoor air is usually very lacking in negative ions, unlike the air found in forests, at the seaside or near a waterfall.

Also, the production of negative ions charges the particles suspended in the air, the effect of which is to pull them towards the ground, which in this way purifies the air breathed.

The Negative ion air purifying ionising and photocatalytic light bulbs therefore offer three main features in addition to energy savings:

- ionisation,

- photocatalysis

- a range available in two different colours: daylight for clearer more modern lighting and warm white for subdued lighting.

What does 6400K and 2700K mean?

This is the measurement of colour temperature using a scale: that of Degrees Kelvin, named after its inventor.

The higher the figure in the scale, the whiter the light.

6400K is considered to be close to daylight.

2700K is a more yellow colour and is more suitable for warm whites used for subdued lighting.

It is up to you to choose the colour of light that you require depending on your interiors and their decoration styles. Other criteria can also be considered: your personal taste, how the rooms that you intend to light are decorated, etc.

Unlock iPhone 4.3.2 with Ultrasn0w 1.2.2

The iPhone Dev Team today has released an updated version of Ultrasn0w unlock to make it compatible with iOS 4.3.2 on iPhone 4 and 3GS, running on the old baseband.

It should be noted though that this release of Ultrasn0w is not a new unlock for iPhones with newer basebands, instead, it only fixes the compatibility issues on the existing devices, which are jailbroken (with preserved basebands: 01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00) on iOS 4.3.2 using PwnageTool 4.3.2 or Sn0wbreeze 2.6.

For iPhone 3GS Only: How to Update iPhone 3GS to 06.15.00 Baseband for Unlock:
Ultrasn0w 1.2.x unlocking requires that your iPhone 3GS is jailbroken with 06.15.00 baseband. Follow the complete guide posted here (with PwnageTool) or here (for Redsn0w) to update your iPhone 3GS baseband to 06.15.00 and jailbreak it on iOS 4.1 / 4.2.1 before proceeding with the following steps.

Untethered Jailbreak Confirmed Working for iOS 4.3.2

Oh uhh, apple seems not patch the hole of iOS 4.3.2 :)



This is surprising but good news for jailbreakers. Apple has been nice. I just verified that the untether vulnerability is not fixed in iOS 4.3.2 - my Ipad 1 is running untethered jailbroken Of course the public untether binaries will not work with iOS 4.3.2 - I have to generate new untether binaries with new dyld/kernel offsets I won't be able to create all the untether binaries before sunday, because I will be on planes, ... The dev-team cannot produce the untether binaries on their own, because they don't have the source code to the untether exploit. Well from what I hear lots of the problems people had with 4.3.1 (like wifi, 3g, ...) are gone in 4.3.2 Once I0n1c has produced the untether binaries for iOS 4.3.2 its likely that new version of RedSn0w and PwnageTool will be released by the iPhone Dev-Team. We'll let you know as soon as they are available.

The iPhone Dev Team today has released an updated version of Ultrasn0w unlock to fix signal bar issues on iOS 4.3.1 compatible iPhones, running on the old baseband.

We’ve pushed out the 4.3.1 compatibility fix for ultrasn0w in Cydia — it’s now at version 1.2.1. If you’re not already at 4.3.1 and you need the unlock, please be sure you understand how to get to 4.3.1 using a custom IPSW that doesn’t update your baseband.
This isn’t a new unlock! It’s to allow those who are already unlocked to use FW 4.3.1. It also fixes the signal bar issue for those who aren’t using the unlock but retain an older baseband intentionally.
AFTER INSTALLING ULTRASN0W 1.2.1, PLEASE REBOOT YOUR iPHONE using the normal “slide to power off” swipe. T-Mobile users in the USA also should disable 3G mode in Settings->General->Network.

iPhone Dev-Team has just released the redsn0w 0.9.6rc10 for both Windows and Mac to Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1. This new updated version of Redsn0w 0.9.6rc10 brings boot animation & enhancements.

Those running redsn0w may have noticed we enabled too many Settings options in some versions of the jailbreak (for instance, what you want your side switch to do, even if you have no side switch because you’re not using an iPad). Release rc10 of redsn0w corrects that (you can just run it over your existing jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).
Along the way, we’ve also added the option to enable boot animations…these animations can be installed via Cydia, but be sure to select which animation to use via the Settings->Bootlogo setting after you’ve downloaded an animation (and again, you can just run rc10 over your existing jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).

" The iPhone Dev-Team has finally released untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 via Redsn0w and PwnageTool. Except for the iPad 2, this new untethered jailbreak is compatible to work with all devices, including: iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch 3G/4G on the newly released iOS 4.3.1 firmware.
This untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 is based on an exploit found by iPhone security expert and hacker Stefan Esser, who demoed it on his iPod touch last week before handing it over to the Dev-Team to do the rest.
iOS 4.3.1 was originally jailbroken last week using PwnageTool bundles (on Mac) and Sn0wbreeze (on Windows) but it was limited to tethered boot.
But now with this new version of Redsn0w and PwnageTool, you can jailbreak on the above mentioned devices, fully untethered on iOS 4.3.1.

Here’s how to-do it:
NOTE: Those of you who rely on a carrier unlock MUST STAY AWAY from Redsn0w and stock iOS 4.3.1 firmware. Use PwnageTool instead.
Step 1: Download iOS 4.3.1 for your version of iOS device.
Step 2: Update/Restore to iOS 4.3.1 firmware using the IPSW file you just downloaded via iTunes 10.2.1.
Step 3: Start Redsn0w and point it to the official iOS 4.3.1 firmware file.

Step 4: Now select “Install Cydia” and click “Next”. Optionally (if available), you can also select any other option you like.

Step 5: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click “Next”.

At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will be guided on how to enter DFU mode. Quickly hold “Power” button and then while holding the “Power” button, you will now have to hold “Home” button too. Now after few seconds release “Power” button but keep holding “Home” button until installation begins.

Step 6: Sit back and enjoy while Redsn0w does the rest for you. Once done, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will restart automatically and you will find it fully jailbroken (untethered) on the latest iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Q: Does putting my computer to sleep help extend thebattery life? What else can I do to save energy and make my newcomputer last?

A: We’ve all heard stories about what'sbest for a computer’s battery. That’s why I was excited to makefriends with Fred Peters, president of Huntington Beach ITServices.
In addition to teaching computing courses in Orange County,Calif., Peters happily makes house calls to revive frazzledcomputers and the people who rely on them.

Here are his expert tips on how to keep your new laptop runningsmoothly.

Sleep mode vs. shutting down

Peters notes that your work process will determine whether it’smore efficient to use “Sleep” mode or simply shut down thecomputer. “It is never fun to have to consistently wait any amountof time if the shut downs are too frequent,” he says. "‘Sleep’requires more power, but it boots up faster, while ‘Hibernate’ usesless power, but takes longer to come online.” That same logicapplies to shutting off your computer completely.
“Your computer will become obsolete before you wear out yourcomputer by turning it on and off a lot,” he adds. “It alsodoesn't take more energy to start a computer than to keep itrunning.”
Sleep mode requires a constant, though reduced use of power (0-6watts). Peters also notes that colorful screensavers do nothing toconserve energy. Accessing your computer remotely with the Wake on LAN feature also can drain thepower.

To get the most for your money, Peters advises adjusting powersettings so that it automatically goes into Sleep/Standby modeafter about 15 minutes of inactivity, and then shut it down at theend of your day.

Bionic battery life

To get the most out of your computer battery, Peters says to youhave to give it a workout. Don’t keep your machine plugged in to anoutlet. Instead, discharge the battery daily.

Size does matter

By purchasing a laptop, Peters says that you are ahead in theenergy-saving game. Laptops use about 15-60 watts, while desktopsuse 65-250 watts — plus another 15-80 watts for a monitor.

Nokia files new patent violation complaint against Apple

The two giants cellular company has new grudge with each other, as the news goes....

The world's leading mobile phone maker Nokia said Tuesday it was filing a fresh complaint against Apple for patent infringement in "virtually all" of Apple's devices.

The new complaint, coupled with a simultaneous lawsuit, comes days after Nokia had a previous claim rejected.
"Nokia has filed a further complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) alleging that Apple infringes additional Nokia patents in virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, tablets and computers," the company said in a statement.
The Finnish mobile giant claims Apple is using Nokia innovations in "key features" of its products.
Tuesday's complaint brings the number of Nokia patents in suit against Apple to 46.
"Apple has been building its business on the back of our innovations and has failed to recognise its obligations," Nokia spokesman Mark Durrant told AFP.
Last Friday a US judge with the ITC rejected Nokia's claim that Apple had violated patents in its mobile phone, portable music players and computers.
He denied Nokia's claim that Apple had violated five patents held by the Finnish company but did not provide an explanation for his ruling.
"This is not the final ruling, and the ITC full commission has in the past overturned the initial determination," said Durrant adding that the company is reviewing the decision before deciding on its next step.
The two mobile phone titans have been embroiled in a fierce legal battle over patents with Nokia lodging at least two other lawsuits against Apple and the California gadget-maker filing countersuits against the Finnish company.
Nokia has also filed similar cases in Germany, the UK and the Netherlands.
The Finnish company's sales in the competitive high-end smartphone sector have been hurt by the rise of Apple's iPhone.

If you are going to Read Info (code) you cannot determine what is the exact firmware of the phone, for its is corrupted and cannot give you a detail how to flash it by its exact firmware, so open the phone and look for a round sticker usually white colored, the units firmware version can be found there e.g (DXDJD5).

If you see the firmware then re-flashed. But try first the short cut version, FLASH the CSC only. Uncheck CLA and TFS boxes then proceed.

It is a semi-tethered jailbreak.

Modifying PwnageTool
Step 1: Download PwnageTool bundle for your version of iOS device. Extract the .zip folder, in there you will find a .bundle file, for this guide, we are using iPhone 4 bundle iPhone3,1_4.3.1_8G4.bundle. Move this file to your desktop.
Step 2: Download PwnageTool 4.2 and copy it to /Applications directory. Right click, and then click on “Show Package Contents” as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 3: Navigate to Contents/Resources/FirmwareBundles/ and paste iPhone3,1_4.3.1_8G4.bundle file in this location.

Creating Custom Ramdisk for iOS 4.3.1 Custom Firmware
Step 4: Download Universal Ramdisk Maker and simply install it as shown in the screenshots below. This is important because Ramdisk in the current version of PwnageTool is broken. This Universal Ramdisk Maker basically patches it correctly for iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

Building iOS 4.3.1 Custom Firmware
Step 5: Download iOS 4.3.1 firmware. Move this file to your desktop.
Step 6: Start PwnageTool in “Expert mode” and select your device:

Step 7: Browse for iOS 4.3.1 firmware for your device as shown in the screenshot below:

Step 8: Now select “Build” to start creating custom 4.3.1 firmware file:

Step 9: PwnageTool will now create the custom .ipsw file for your iPhone which will be jailbroken.

Step 10: Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode using PwnageTool:

Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
You device should now be in DFU mode

Restore iOS 4.3.1 Custom Firmware Using iTunes
Step 11: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.3.1 file. Select the required custom .ipsw file that you created above, and click on “Open”.
Step 12: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs the new firmware 4.3.1 on your iOS device. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iOS device will be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1.
Booting in Tethered Mode
Last but not the least, since there is no untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 yet, we will have to boot it into a tethered jailbroken state. To do this, we will make use of a utility named “tetheredboot” as shown in the steps below.
Step 13: Download tetheredboot.zip utility for Mac OS X and extract the .zip file.
Step 14: First, we will need two files from the custom iOS 4.3.1 firmware namely: kernelcache.release.n90and iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu. To do this, make a copy of your custom iOS 4.3.1 file that you created above, change the extension of this file from .ipsw to .zip, and then extract this .zip file.
Now copy kernelcache.release.n90 file, and then copy iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu files which are found under /Firmware/dfu/.
Move all these files, and tetheredboot utility to a new folder named “tetheredboot” on the desktop as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 15: Turn off your iOS device, and start Terminal on OS X and run the following commands:

sudo -s

enter your administrator password, then:

/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/tetheredboot
/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/iBSS.n90ap.RELEASE.dfu
/Users/TaimurAsad/Downloads/tetheredboot/kernelcache.release.n90

You will have to of course replace “TaimurAsad” with the name of the directory on your computer.
now press enter.

You should now see some code running in the Terminal window, at some point, it will ask you to enter DFU mode. Now follow the following steps to enter DFU mode:

Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
You device should now be in DFU mode

Now wait for your device to boot, Terminal at this point will be showing “Exiting libpois0n” message. After a short while, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will be booted in a jailbroken tethered mode !

3. Connect USB cable, setup drivers.
4. Choise qualcomm diagnostic port in port settings.
5. Choise unlock method: Read codes or Direct.
6. Press Unlock SP button.

On procedure number 4, Don't select any qualcom port on the selection, instead select the virtual comport appears on the illustration below.

After the box has detected your phone just click Unlcok SP, and input the codes z3x has been calculated.

You can checked its locked status by pressing *#7465625#.

Last is, when you inserted the sim card you will be prompted for a sim password. Don't be sad, it is already given, check the FREEZE CODE on your window. Input it and your done.

Odds are, if you ask anyone waiting in line for an iPad 2, they'll list plenty of reasons why they're lusting after Apple's latest camera-equipped tablet.

In this case, megapixels did matter, and the iPad 2's 0.69-megapixel sensor turned out iPod touch-esque results. On a bright note, the new iPad does shoot decent video, and it even outscored a dedicated video-capture device in that realm. Not too shabby.

We put the first generation of camera-equipped tablets through our labs' subjective testing for image and video quality, and although some tablets fared much better than others in terms of photo quality and footage, they were all outscored by the output of the iPhone 4.

Of course, that's not a dealbreaker for prospective tablet buyers. Supposed iPhone 5 Part Leaks, Apple Working On A Slider with Physical Keyboard?

A supposed iPhone 5 part has appeared on a Chinese website and the blog is claiming that Apple’s next iPhone could actually feature a sliding keyboard.
According to AppleInsider, tw.apple.pro posted a photo of what appears to be a 30-pin dock connector cable from an unreleased iPhone, with the part number 821-1300-02 HF/c1.

The Chinese site also goes on to claim that the recent rumors and indeed leaked parts of an iPhone sporting a 4-inch screen are in fact fake, while opening the possibility of an iPhone with a sliding screen – could Apple really be getting ready to offer a hardware keyboard?

This isn’t the first time tw.apple.pro has claimed an iPhone could get a sliding keyboard. Two weeks ago the same site said that Apple was working on a device that resembles the current iPhone 4, but with a new appendage. As we have mentioned in the past, this particular Chinese blog has had success in the past – they got their hands on the iPhone 4′s screen before Apple announced it.
While tw.apple.pro’s past success can’t be ignored, I am not remain convinced that Apple is going to go back on four years of keyboard-less hardware, especially when CEO Steve Jobs is on a personal mission to rid all Apple products of buttons entirely!

Fixing 1604, 1601, 1600, 16xx error during iOS 4.2.1 Custom IPSW Firmware Restore in iTunes with iREB RC3

Today we will try to fix the errors you might encountered in restoring a custom IPSW with iREB RC3. The iPhone developer iH8sn0w has released his new version iREB. Using this bypass the errors you will face in restoring.

iREB 4.0.x/4.1/4.2.1 [r3] supports the following devices:

iPhone 2G/3G/3G[S]/4
iPod Touch 1G/2G/3G/4
iPad
Apple TV 2

Procedure:
Step 1: Start iTunes 10.1.2 and put your iOS device into DFU mode.
iPhone/iPad/iPod touch:

Connect your iOS device with your Computer.
Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds.
Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds.
You device should now be in DFU mode.

Apple TV 2G:

Connect your Apple TV with your Computer via microUSB.
Now reboot your Apple TV by holding down Menu + Down buttons together for around 6 seconds.
After reboot, immediately hold Menu + Play until you see the message in iTunes saying that Apple TV in recovery mode is detected.

Step 2: Now close iTunes and Start iREB RC3 on Windows.

Step 3: Simply select your device and wait for a few seconds until you get white or a red screen on your iOS device.
Step 4: Now start iTunes again and select your iOS device from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” button (“Shift” button on Windows) on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update”) button in the iTunes and then release the “Shift” button. Select the required custom .ipsw file and restore it.
That’s it! iTunes should now be able to restore your iOS device to the latest iOS 4.2.1 custom firmware without any problems. Hopefully you wont get any 16xx errors during restore this time around!

Well, every works of this guy on iphone before was followed by every iphone lover. Now that he plays in SONY, its a new game of his life. He get sued by the company by hacking his own PSP. Funny....

Sony are bullies
Sony doesn’t care if what you did was legal, if they don’t like it, they sue. Sony tried to sue a guy for getting his AIBO to do non Sony approved tricks, making it apparent that they don’t really care about piracy, they care about control. In (Sony v Bleem), Bleem was the winner on all counts, but the high cost of a legal defense shut them down. Fortunately, that suit helped set precedent on the legality of emulators. I would hate to lose this case due to resource starvation, and with the support of the masses, I won’t. Lets turn the bully back on itself. This case has the ability to set a huge precedent for consoles and all closed systems to come. The other two should be begging Sony to back off.
Sony sued the wrong guy
I am an advocate against mass piracy, do not distribute anyone’s copyrighted work but my own, do not take crap lying down, and am even pro DRM in a sense. For example, I believe Apple has every right to lock down their iPhone in the factory as much as they want, but once it’s paid for and mine, I have the right to unlock it, smash it, jailbreak it, look at it, and hack on it. Fortunately, the courts agree with me on this point.
My PS3 goal has been to provide users a legitimate path to homebrew, which by the standards of all previous cases (or, in reverse), is 100% legal. Sony does not even try to allege piracy or copyright infringement in this case, they allege I did things like play "super mario world, an unauthorized game" on MY PS3. And access MY PS3 in an unauthorized way. Who are they to authorize what I do with my taxed and paid for property?
fail0verflow’s goal was even nobler than mine. They wanted to give you back a feature Sony illegally stole, Linux on your PS3. It’s shameful on Sony’s part that they are being sued at all. If you have a problem with pirates, sue them, don’t sue people who point out your shortcomings.
Why should I care about your personal legal troubles?
You shouldn’t. For example, if I was taken to court for sex crimes in Sweden, I would never ask for donations. But this case isn’t about me. Clearly I am not being sued because of something I have that Sony wants, I am being sued in order to send a message that Sony is not to be messed with. But if I(and all codefendants likewise) actually win this, we have the power to send a much stronger message back. That consumers have rights, and we aren’t afraid to stand up for them.
Why should I trust you? I just saw you trying to rap battle Sony
My attempts at humor aside, I do take this whole matter very seriously. Again, it’s not about me, I was on the verge of quitting this stuff last June, and I would hate to be the one who sets a reputation for hackers that all a company has to do is sue us and we back down. In fact, I want the opposite reputation set, that the more a company tries to abuse the legal system, the harder we rally back. I will be the first person in line on the launch date of the Xperia Play, and itching to get my hands on the Next GEOHOT Project.
Why did you wait until now to set this up?
I didn’t want to be trigger happy, and thought the suit might go away quickly. Also, I had to consult with my lawyers about how to do this. It’s been over a month, and it looks like this is going to be a drawn out case. I am in this for the long haul. I am very serious ethically when I take donations, for all iPhone work I only accepted after the fact, here after the fact is too late. Now I am pot committed so to say.
How much should I donate?
Put it this way, Sony has 5 lawyers, I have 2. I’d like to level the playing field, and really get some hard hitters in there. I have already racked up over 10k in legal bills; donate whatever you feel like. Leftover donations at the end of all this will be donated to the EFF.

Frankly I’m amazed by the apparent ease with which these cheats were created, security 101, why is the security in the client anyway? Lets just say, I want the settlement terms to include OtherOS on all PS3s and an apology on the PlayStation blog for ever removing it. It’d be good PR for Sony too, lord knows they could use it. I’m also willing to accept a trade, a legit path to homebrew for knowledge of how to stop new firmwares from being decrypted.

Basic Hardware Repair for Dummies

Hello, I am here again to share you some tips in a basic hardware repair of your cellphones, let us take the extremely serious thing!

WATER DAMAGE!

Yes water damaged, this kind of problem is extremely serious and needs technical skills to dealt with. I'll give you some options to handle it but not 100% can solve your problem. It will just make it more safer than you will think to do it.

Example 1. Water damage by household water or drinking water.

You forgot your phone on the table, then suddenly you hit your glass of drinking water then what's happen next would be a dead phone... Or you go to a bathroom and while sitting on your thrown is keep talking and chatting with your friends then accidentally you drop in a bowl with your piss or shit uh ohh! There is no cure for your phone, flash it, just kidding. We can still revived that don't worry.

Example 2.Water Damage by swimming pools.

You like swimming, but too excited that you forgot your phone in your pocket just because you don't wear a proper suite for swimming, bad day right. Pool waters contains chlorine and highly corrosive that can damage your phone quickly.

Example 3. Ocean water or the beach

This extremely serious and it will kill your phone as quick as other water damage may do. Ocean water got a lot of salt. Corrosion will appear anywhere on your board and it is sometimes hard to revived.

TIPS:

It may prolonged the life of your phone, can help 40% survival but sometimes not.

1. DO NOT TURN IT ON! REMOVE BATTERY as fast as you can. Turning it on while wet can cause a short circuit on your phone, remember that your phone is an electronic device and not a water proof thing.

2. USE A HAIR BLOWER, this solution can do sometimes if phone was not fully immerse on water. If the phone still alive you can use this thing too let it dry at the outside part of the phone. But if the water get in to your board that's another story.

3. BRING IT TO YOUR NEAREST SERVICE CENTERS, immediately you should bring it there, for corrosion may affect sensitives parts like IC's or can cause rust in your circuit board. Let the geeks handle it and just ask for the price first before you let them do it.

RPL files for the DCT4 and DCT4+ generation of Nokia
mobile phones. The files are compatible with all models
that have the combination of UPP + UEM chipset. Generated
files contain 2 sections: DATA1 and DATA2, those are needed

As promised, non-technical users will be accommodated by my blog, thanks for some readers who emailed me and request for non-technical views of mobile phone, most of them never understand any technicalities.

Most mobile phone users use to search the phone they want to buy or either surf to a review site that other users have experience about the phone, or either get a feedback to their friend. Never rely to a home site of any product, for of course they will write all about the good features of the phone and set aside the negative feedback of users. They will post updates, yes via software, but what about hardware issues?

Lets us take an example of a Nokia N79, a mid high end unit. User's experience a keypad hang or failure of this phone, but how to deal with this problem need a skill somewhat like a cellphone technician. Ordinary users of course will not try to repair itself, the only thing you can do is check your warranty and let the unit be replace from your seller.

Here is my post about that unit N79. Never try if your not skilled to do it, look for a technician.

What about i-Phone 4's "antennagate" issue? This is the new released Verizon 4.

The news today is that it appears GreenPois0n RC5 will be bringing untethered jailbreak to iOS 4.2.1 sooner rather than later. Twitter user @JHackstar tipped us off to a Wiki showing that GreenPois0n RC5 is ‘coming VERY soon’ and will support all devices.

The reason for the new movement is that Apple has now closed the loophole hackers have been using up until iOS 4.3. Now there’s obviously no point in waiting for the new update to be released it’s been decided that GreenPois0n will go ahead as-is, with a new attempt at 4.3 to be made later. iPhone hacker Pod2g has also confirmed this on Twitter:

The good point is that because of this (and the fact that Apple fixed the kernel exploit in 4.3), we’re all working back on releasing gp.

That’s great news on 3 levels. First, I’m sure plenty of you have been waiting for an untethered jailbreak on 4.2.1 for a long time now. Second, the new GreenPois0n will work on ALL hardware. It’s great to hear that nobody will be left out in the cold this time around. Thirdly, it’s good to hear a release isn’t too far away.

iPhone 3G Error 3194 When Restoring! (Solution)

This iPhone 3G OS 4.0, when jailbreaked and unlocked resulting to NO SERVICE or no signal at all. Since I don't want to upgrade it to a newer firmware to avoid me using wifi, because this thing is not available!

So I'll restore this phone to repeat the process of jailbreak and unlock, but Sadly enough, for you guys who wanted to erase or restore your iPhone 3G into iOS 4 using iTunes 9.2 will be out of luck, since Apple is no longer signing the version 4.0 anymore. Instead if you insist on restoring your iPhone 3G into iOS 4.0 instead of 4.0.1, or hihger you’ll have error 3194 on iTunes.

This is unfortunate, you can not upgrade your iPhone 3G officially, but.
You can still restore it unofficially.
Basically when iTunes showing “Verifying with Apple bla…”, that means iTunes is checking for signature from Apple’s signature server. And guess what, Apple no longer sign your iOS 4.0 firmware which makes your device is not elligible for restore, unless you update with iOS 4.0.1, this is one way for apple to force its customer to upgrade into the latest firmware, so all hacks will be elliminated if one is provided in Apple’s latest firmware version.
Now, we can bypass this signature checking when iTunes contacting Apple by changing the server from Apple’s Signature Server into Cydia’s clone of Apple Server.

Now here's the STEPS to be you to restore the same OS in your iPhone 3G!

It’s easy (for Windows):
1. Fired up your cmd.exe, and make sure you have administrator privileges.
2. Type this is: CD \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
3. Type this: edit hosts
4. Add this to the last line: 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
5. Restart your iTunes.
6. Put your iPhone 3G in recovery mode, by turn off the device first and pull the plug from your PC. Then press Home Button and connect your iPhone into your PC, then wait until the Recovery Icon shows up (iTunes icon with cable above it).
7. Now, restore your iPhone with your firmware iOS 4.0 (in windows using Shift + Restore, in mac using Options + Restore)
8. Voila, it will be restored succesfully, it’s fully working on my iPhone 3G.
You should notice the number 4 step is the bypass server, by pointing Apple Authentication domain into Cydia’s Server IP Address, this is trivial in unix, and thankfully, we can do this in Windows.
On Mac, it’s the same, except for the cmd.exe and the cd thing should be into /etc/hosts…

The newly released iOS 4.1 for iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G features new baseband which is currently not unlockable using the current version of ultrasn0w. But if you upgrade (while preserving baseband) and then jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.1 using PwnageTool method posted here, you can unlock your phone (iPhone 3GS) using the existing version of ultrasn0w. Blackberry 8520 Hang then Off!

This set arrived with hanging problem, or you can just see the clock symbol that keep rotating then off after a while.

Solving this problem is easy as upgrading the set to the newest firmware update.

Download first the Blackberry Desktop Software 6.0b042. (no need leak software, 6.0 is already out! Beware of leak software posted on forums! )
After downloading, install the software and be ready for updating. You will use your USB cable and a full charge battery of your device.

After waiting about 30 minutes, you'll got a new updated and fixed 8520 :)

There are two methods of repairing this, the simple ways is tru SD card ROM update, but what about it does not work and you'll encounter a "OS not Compatible with Hardware?"

Guideline:
* FIRST: Rename your ROM extension from temp.dat to temp.bin

1. Make sure that the device is not connected with USB.
2. Kill Active Sync on the list of processes on the PC, it is called - wcescomm.exe (Task Manager, Ctrl + Alt + Del) or untick "Allow USB connections" in Connetion Settings of activesync..
3. Go to Bootloader mode (press and hold "Power + Recorder buttons" then press reset white still holding "Power + Recorder buttons" until you see the text) ..
4. Run USBDL.exe
5. Connect USB cable between your computer and X610.
6. Press browse button in USBDL.exe and select the file temp.bin, click OK ...
7. Upgrading firmware, after the on-screen message "EBoot Programmed ok!", Wait for X500 starts after 20 seconds or Do a Manual reset "Power Button + Reset"
Windows Vista 32/64 bit Users:
- Your X610
- Your USB Cable
- A ROM "just the temp.dat file"

Guideline:
- Run the .bat file.
- Go to Bootloader mode (press and hold "Power + Recorder buttons" then press reset white still holding "Power + Recorder buttons" until you see the text) ..
- Please go to the Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Windows Mobile Device Center => Change connection settings (or in Classic view just under Windows Mobile Device Center) Untick "Allow USB connections" And click OK

LG KP500 Restarting done Without Box!

What about you don't have any box to support LG? Lets make an example of LG KP500. Unit was restarting, LG logo, then menu, then restart for just almost 5 seconds.

This Unit was supported by Furios Gold, Z3x and Vygis. Can be fixed via flashing, but what about you don't have box on hand?

So here's the tip and the full procedure to fix this phone.

Cable used is from the package of the unit. (USB cable)

You must have the Flasher and the Firmware first.

Download the Flasher Here! LG Multi GSM v3.0
Download the Firmware Here!

After Downloading the needed files, Install the software and the driver. They said it will run only in windows but I tested it running in my Vista, just set the properties to run on windows XP.

After Installing the Flasher open it as shown in the illustration below:

Now let us configure the settings and load the files for flashing. Load the .DLL and the firmware below, just load 1 firmware. Highlited below just ignore or removed it by clicking "x". We only need 1 file (KP500AT-00-V10n-CIS-XXX-DEC-17-2008.bin). Then check USB!

After setting up the files needed for Flashing, let's proceed on installing the drivers needed for this phone.
Drivers can be found in install folder of GSMMULTI program. Path is C:\GSMULTI\UsbDrivers, install both the Infineon and TI Neptune folder.

After Installing the drivers, let us now prepare to connect your phone.
1. Remove battery, sim card, memory card.
2.Connect it with your USB cable to computer (I suggest that you connect only in USB port on rear panel of your computer)
3. Wait for a minute to be able to recognize your device.

After connecting let us now map your USB device if it can really communicate to your pc or let us also configure the proper setting of your ports. USBMap can be found in C:\GSMULTI
- Select INFINEON and then click MAPPING START
see illustration below:

After setting it up let us now proceed to FLASHING!
Open again your flasher or your LG MultiGSM v3.0, then press START! , wait for a while and viola you'll got a working KP500 again!

That's it, enjoy flashing your LG Kp500, after flashing you can upgrade your firmware by using LG Updater , I'll post it later...

Unlock for iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0.1 Released !!

As promised, the iPhone Dev-Team has released the carrier unlocking tool called Ultrasn0w for US based iPhone 4 users who are stuck with AT&T network. For those of you who don’t know, carrier unlock for US iPhone 4s required complete rewrite of ultrasn0w software because of the new baseband OS present in iPhone 4.
Since Apple is selling unlocked iPhone 4s internationally, it is only the United States users who are still locked on AT&T network. So if you want to use your new iPhone 4 on networks other than AT&T, like T-Mobile for example, you can use this newly released Ultrasn0w 1.0 software to unlock your phone.
Simply follow the instructions posted below to unlock your iPhone 4 on iOS 4.0.1 / 4.0 on 01.59.00 baseband.
NOTE: T-Mobile US users will have to disable 3G by navigation to: Settings->General->Network and turning the "Enable 3G" switch to OFF before installing the ultrasn0w unlock.

It is a browser based jailbreak, all you have to do is to browse to http://jailbreakme.com from your iOS device to jailbreak it.

The iPhone Dev-Team (Comex) has released JailbreakMe 2.0 (aka Star) which can jailbreak all iOS devices on their latest respective firmware like iOS 4.0 / 4.0.1. This does not work with iOS 4.1 Beta release. Since JailbreakMe 2.0 is a userland jailbreak, what this means is that you run it right in your iOS Safari browser to jailbreak the device. It cant get simpler than that !

The following step by step instructions, along with video are for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (New bootrom / old bootrom) and iPhone 3G users. One thing which is important to note here is that this jailbreak tool doesn’t hacktivate your device. You will need an original supported SIM card to activate your phone with iTunes. Geohot Withdraws from iPhone Jailbreak and Unlock Scene

In an unexpected update to his last blog post titled “Meh”, Geohot has announced that he, for the time being at least has kind of abandoned the whole iPhone jailbreak and unlock scene. The reasons according to him are as follows.

Sorry, this post was probably a bad idea. Next time I won’t say anything. I miss when this blog was actually about technical things(I’ve been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it’s in now). I didn’t fully realize most of the current scene don’t care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It’s late tonight, I’ll think about what to do about this in the morning.

The real reason behind no release isn’t technical. It’s just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd.
Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake :D

While I respect this guy for all his contributions in the past, and I understand the reasons he has put in, there is still something about this whole story which makes me wonder if Apple has something to do with this. Maybe he was offered money?, or maybe he was threatened with criminal charges for continuing? well who knows. He showed off a untethered jailbreak for new iPhone and iPod touches back in March, followed by a jailbreak for iPad and iOS 4 Beta in April, but none of them ever saw light of day makes no sense to me.

For those of you who don’t know, George Hotz (Geohot) is the guy who first unlocked the original iPhone in 2007, followed by first jailbreak for iPhone 3GS, and then later he was the first one to provide all-in-one jailbreak / unlock solution for iPhone 3.1.2 firmware through his famous tool, named blackra1n and blacksn0w.

So where does that leave us – the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) and iPod touch 3G users? Well, Comex’s Spirit like jailbreak tool is now the only hope. It will probably be released once Apple rolls out the new iOS 4.0.1 / 4.1 firmware update for iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G.

UPDATE 1: Geohot shuts down his iPhone public for public. His blog now requires private invite in order to read the content. This is what he said on Twitter:

Geohot Jailbreaks Apple iPhone 4 !

After months of silence, Geohot has finally published a new blog post
in which he talks about iPhone 4 jailbreak situation, limera1n, and Pwned4life exploit which he recently talked about at the Nuit Du Hack conference in Paris. According to his latest blog post, he has managed to jailbreak his iPhone 4 the day it got delivered to him by mail. This is what he writes on his blog:

As far as a release goes, it probably won’t happen from me. limera1n is little more than a raindrop on a website; it was never mentioned by me previous to this post. pwned4life is a complete invention of some blogger in a basement somewhere. Again, please don’t ask for release dates. Every person that does makes me want to release a little bit less.

As for the release dates, it probably wont happen from him. Comex’s Spirit like jailbreak tool is still the most likely candidate for the release, which will probably happen once Apple rolls out the new iOS 4.0.1 / 4.1 firmware update for iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G.

E63 Unlock via Mxkey!

Lucky that hash was supported for unlock, old SL E63 Version, lock from Virgin Mobile, Australia.

I tried direct init simlock on mxkey but error shows and result to a SIMLOCK Corrupted, good thing that Mxkey back up itself before anything else mess up. Simlock corrupted can cause security errors like SD invalid, Security Test Failed and Simlock Test. This error can take your time fixing them, but don't worry simple as Restore Simlock Back-up, Repair SD, Super SD Auth, then write PM and your simlock is good again.

I also tried the Warranty Unlock method but I don't know why this method can't do this model. Sim restriction can't be off. So lastly the Unlock by CODE method is the last chance to be able to Unlock the unit, and luckily it does.

Apple today in an open letter has officially acknowledged the iPhone 4 reception problem, which is confirmed as a software issue which will be fixed via software update coming in the next few weeks. The problem as it turned out was related to the “totally wrong” formula which was used to calculate the signal strength.

Dear iPhone 4 Users,
The iPhone 4 has been the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. It has been judged by reviewers around the world to be the best smartphone ever, and users have told us that they love it. So we were surprised when we read reports of reception problems, and we immediately began investigating them. Here is what we have learned.
To start with, gripping almost any mobile phone in certain ways will reduce its reception by 1 or more bars. This is true of iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, as well as many Droid, Nokia and RIM phones. But some users have reported that iPhone 4 can drop 4 or 5 bars when tightly held in a way which covers the black strip in the lower left corner of the metal band. This is a far bigger drop than normal, and as a result some have accused the iPhone 4 of having a faulty antenna design.
At the same time, we continue to read articles and receive hundreds of emails from users saying that iPhone 4 reception is better than the iPhone 3GS. They are delighted. This matches our own experience and testing. What can explain all of this?
We have discovered the cause of this dramatic drop in bars, and it is both simple and surprising.
Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong. Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength. For example, we sometimes display 4 bars when we should be displaying as few as 2 bars. Users observing a drop of several bars when they grip their iPhone in a certain way are most likely in an area with very weak signal strength, but they don’t know it because we are erroneously displaying 4 or 5 bars. Their big drop in bars is because their high bars were never real in the first place.
To fix this, we are adopting AT&T’s recently recommended formula for calculating how many bars to display for a given signal strength. The real signal strength remains the same, but the iPhone’s bars will report it far more accurately, providing users a much better indication of the reception they will get in a given area. We are also making bars 1, 2 and 3 a bit taller so they will be easier to see.
We will issue a free software update within a few weeks that incorporates the corrected formula. Since this mistake has been present since the original iPhone, this software update will also be available for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
We have gone back to our labs and retested everything, and the results are the same— the iPhone 4’s wireless performance is the best we have ever shipped. For the vast majority of users who have not been troubled by this issue, this software update will only make your bars more accurate. For those who have had concerns, we apologize for any anxiety we may have caused.
As a reminder, if you are not fully satisfied, you can return your undamaged iPhone to any Apple Retail Store or the online Apple Store within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

So there you have it! According to Apple, there is no design flaw in iPhone 4. They will be releasing iOS 4.0.1 / 4.1 for all iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G users to fix this issue in the coming weeks. iPod touch users will probably not get this update for obvious reasons.

iPhone 4 Jailbroken!

Yes you read that right! iPhone 4 has been successfully jailbroken only within a few days of launch! It looks like the “userland” jailbreak vulnerability which was used by Spirit jailbreak tool was not all that properly patched by Apple, and hence @planetbeing (of Android port for iPhone fame) and @chpwn has managed to get root access on the device using code of @comex’s userland jailbreak method. @Planetbeing posted about this news on his Twitter account.

Think I’m the first one I know about to get a root shell (and SSH) on iPhone 4, using poor @comex’s code (since he has no iPhone 4)

Since iOS 4.0.1 is rumored to be rolled out as early as this coming Monday, an update to Spirit userland jailbreak tool can only be expected after this firmware update has been released sometime in the next week or so which will jailbreak iPhone 4, along with iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPod touch (MC models) and iPod touch 3G.
Oh and one more thing, even though iPhone 4 has been jailbroken, don’t expect it to get carrier unlock soon. This is because iPhone 4 uses a new baseband OS, which will require a complete rewrite for ultrasn0w unlocking tool to work on it.

The DevTeam and others have been checking through the iPhone 4, and have noticed the baseband runs a completely different OS than on previous models. The iPhone 3G and 3G[S] both ran Nucleus OS on the PMB8878 baseband CPU (aka XGold 608), where the iPhone 2G ran the PMB8876 (aka S-Gold 2). iPhone 4 uses the PMB9800, or X-Gold 618 – running a separate OS – ThreadX, an RTOS by ExpressLogic.

So what this means is that an unlock for iPhone 4 wont be out anytime soon. So if you are an International user, you are good to go with unlocked versions of iPhone 4. US iPhone 4 users will have to wait for long before they can use this device on carriers other than AT&T.
UPDATE 1: Well there is now little twist to it, another iPhone hacker named p0sixninja has confirmed that it cant be released in its current shape because it contains some of Apple’s proprietary code.

And speaking of the release date, @planetbeing has now made it more clear that it wont be out anytime soon.

Don’t want to speak for @comex, but afaik no one has breathed a word about release date and what we have right now is nowhere ready.

So there you go.. they will surely have to clear out Apple’s code before they can release this thing.

WTF! Some iPhone 4′s are Shipping with Wrong Volume Buttons [Video]

This is getting ridiculous. I cant believe we are seeing this with Apple’s flagship product. If antenna or yellow spot screen discoloration issues were not enough, there are now reports of unhappy customers who have got new iPhone 4’s with flipped buttons for volume rocker. And moreover, if you press the “-“ button, it will result in increasing of the volume while pressing “+” will result in volume getting quieter.

Although it may not be that big a deal for many, yet this reverse function of the buttons on the phone is absurd at best, and speaks of some untidy work done by the workers in Shenzhen. Here is a video proof of this yet another blunder by Apple.

I cant believe these defective iPhone 4’s actually passed the QA test prior to being dispatched from China.

These are instructions on how to unlock the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS for use with any GSM cellphone carrier using UltraSn0w. This will work with the iOS 4.0 firmware.

Before you can follow these instructions you must have a jailbroken iPhone and you must be on the 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, or 05.13.04 baseband(modem firmware).

To find your firmware and modem firmware(baseband) versions you can follow this tutorial.

If you are on T-Mobile remember to turn off 3G before starting...

In a reply to a tweet, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team has confirmed that iOS 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4) is confirmed to be unlockable, and probably so is the yet to be released iPhone 4. What they have actually got this time around is a new exploit for the latest 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 basebands, which they have been saving for months for a major new update – the time for which has now come.

@htetard yep…the final 4.0 next week will be an even later version and is confirmed unlockable (possibly iPhone4 too)

As we all know, Apple is set to release the final version of iOS 4 this Monday, followed by first batch of iPhone 4 devices that will ship next week (June 24th). Final versions of these jailbreaking and unlocking tools for iOS 4 / iPhone 3.1.3 on 05.12.01 and 05.13.xx baseband can be expected right after the said OS and device has been released. Ultrasn0w Unlock for iPhone 3GS on iOS 4 Released !

The official ultrasn0w unlock has been released by iPhone Dev Team for iPhone 3GS, with older bootrom running 04.26.08 baseband on iOS 4.0 (formerly iPhone OS 4). For those of you who preserved their baseband by jailbreaking iPhone 3GS on iOS 4 using PwnageTool can now unlock, provided that your phone is running the older 04.26.08 baseband.

Note: As mentioned above, this is strictly for iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.0, with 04.26.08 baseband only. If you are on 05.11.07 baseband, then you need to use blacksn0w RC2, the guide for which is posted here. If you are on 05.12.01 baseband, you will need to wait for the end of June to get your phone unlocked.
How to: Jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iOS 4:
Step 1: Follow the complete guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS using PwnageTool bundles on iPhone firmware 4.0.
How to: Unlock iPhone 3GS 04.26.08 Baseband on iOS 4:
Step 2: Once you are done with the jailbreak, you can now unlock your iPhone 3GS running custom iOS 4.0 firmware by using ultrasn0w 0.92.1 from Cydia. To do this:

Start “Cydia” on your iPhone.
Touch on “Manage” tab on the bottom.
Now touch on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:

Touch on “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type “http://ios4.ultrasn0w.org” and touch on “Add Source”.

Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.

After installation is completed. Search for “ultrasn0w 0.92” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone 3GS so that you can use it with any carrier.

Step 3: Now simply restart your iPhone and voila! you should now have a fully unlocked iPhone 3GS, on iOS 4.

Jailbreak iOS 4.0 with PwnageTool – Complete How to Guide

We did inform you about PwnageTool bundles which were released yesterday to jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.0 (formerly iPhone OS 4), while preserving your baseband on the older 05.11.07 or 04.26.08 so that you can unlock it using ultrasn0w or blacksn0w. We got lots requests via twitter, facebook and email for full instructions on how to patch the existing version of PwnageTool so that it can work with iOS 4.0 GM release. And so here are the complete set of instructions for you to get it to work.

Warning / Note: Perform the following instructions at your own risk only. I am not responsible if you end up bricking or locking your phone. Only proceed if you are an advanced user, and know what you are doing. Otherwise, wait for the official tools which would be out soon.
Supported Device(s):
iPhone 3GS ONLY, with older bootrom which has at least been jailbroken once with either redsn0w, PwnageTool, Blackra1n or Sn0wbreeze. If your phone is one of those with newer bootrom, and has only been jailbroken with Spirit, this is not for you. You will end up getting 1600/1604 error when restoring the custom cooked firmware via iTunes.
What is working and what isn’t?
I have tested it and it worked for me. But since I don’t rely on an unlock, I couldn’t test the ultrasn0w or blacksn0w part. Of all the reports that I have got from various testers, I can confirm that this method will preserve your baseband, but ultrasn0w or blacksn0w unlock wont work now as they need an update for iOS 4. So if you rely on an unlock, I will suggest you stay away from this, but if you desperately want to jailbreak your device, you can do it now while preserving your baseband but you will only be able to unlock it once ultrasn0w update is released in approx. two weeks time.
Step 1: Download PwnageTool 3.1.5 from the download link given here.
Step 2: Download the latest version of PwnageTool Bundles from msft.guy here and then extract it to your desktop.
Step 3: Download iOS 4.0 for iPhone 3GS, and iTunes 9.2 Beta for Mac. You can get the official bits if you are a registered developer, or from different content sharing sites around the web. Please do not ask for the download links, a simple Google will do it all !
Step 4: Download the updated Cydia bits (data.tar file) from here.
Step 5: Copy PwnageTool that you downloaded in Step 1 to your desktop. Right click, and then click on “Show Package Contents” as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 6: Navigate to Contents\Resources\FirmwareBundles\ and paste iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_bundle.bundle file in this location and then simply close this folder.

Step 7: Now navigate again to Contents/Resources/CustomPackages/CydiaInstaller.bundle/ and paste data.tar file (for Cydia) that you downloaded in Step 4.
Step 8: Start “Terminal” program on your Mac and run the following commands:

cd desktop
cd PwnageTool.app/Contents/Resources/CustomPackages/CydiaInstaller.bundle
tar -xpvf data.tar

once you are done, close all the open windows.
Step 9: Now start this patched version of PwnageTool, Select iPhone 3GS as your device and you will now notice that PwnageTool will automatically detect iOS 4 firmware file as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 10: Simply follow Step 5 to Step 7 posted here to create a custom-cooked iOS 4 firmware file which will preserve your old baseband.
Step 11: Once the .ipsw file has been created, you will now have to restore your iPhone to this custom firmware 4.0 that you just cooked using PwnageTool 3.1.5 for your iPhone 3GS. Start iTunes 9.2 Beta, Click on your phone icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.
This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.0. Select that custom .ipsw file and click on “Open”.
Step 12: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs the new firmware 4.0 on your iPhone. Your iPhone screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, iPhone will restart automatically and you should now have a fully jailbroken iPhone 3GS running on iOS 4.0.

iPhone 4.0 and iPhone 3.1.3 Unlock Release Confirmed for this Month

The iPhone hacker behind sn0wbreeze, f0recast and BlackBreeze today accidently put up a picture on his twitter account, showing version 1.6 of sn0wbreeze which promises to jailbreak iPod touch 2G on iPhone OS 4. The picture in question was removed quickly but the folks at The Technopath were quick enough to grab the image for everyone to see.

While there is no ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) on the release yet, but there is no reason why it shouldn’t be soon as iPhone OS 4 is set for June 7 release at WWDC where Apple is also expected to announce the next iPhone.

Redsn0w has just been updated to beta 4 to support the latest iPhone OS 4 Beta 4 firmware. iPhone OS 4 Beta 4 was released by Apple last week, which since Beta 2 has closed the jailbreak loophole used by Redsn0w 0.9.5b1 and b2 to jailbreak OS 4. But with this latest version of redsn0w, you should be able to jailbreak iPhone OS 4 again on iPhone 3G.

An excerpt from iPhone Dev-Team on this release is as follows.

This is a beta release of redsn0w targeted at developers of jailbroken apps. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days. Nothing new is revealed to Apple, and it’s not applicable to the iPad. Don’t go near it if you use yellowsn0w, ultrasn0w, or blacksn0w.
YOU SHOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS BETA SOFTWARE IF YOU RELY ON A CARRIER UNLOCK. HUGE: iPod touch 4G with 2 Megapixel Camera Leaked in Vietnam [Video]

Vietnamese are on a role! After the 4th-gen iPhone leak and the refreshed 2010 MacBook, Tinhte.com is now reporting on a new iPod touch 4G with a 2-megapixel Camera. The “DVT-1” stamp on the back of the device identifies it as an early prototype test model. This Foxconn manufactured prototype model boasts of 64GB memory and is running some sort of firmware diagnostic software.

At this point, it is difficult to confirm whether this is one of those early 3rd-gen iPod touch prototypes with camera that never made it to final production, or something entirely new which would be released as iPod touch 4G in September of this year. In any case, it looks very legit as can be seen from the images attached below.

The problem of this phone is black screen only if you power on, or sometimes vibrate only then off. Was tried to flash with CYCLONE and UB, but problem still remains. I tried to Flash in mxkey first via USB but a lot of errors occurs so secondly flashed it via FBUS and phone smoothly flashed... Mxkey still rock.....

X2 a new window type unit released by Sony Ericsson. a 8 MP, 3263x2448 Pixels with auto focus and LED Flash. Touch focus, geo-tagging, image stabilizer, nice spec right? But still got problem! Well no units or phone has been released that have any single problem, mostly software or either hardware!

This one just bought by a client for 2 weeks and now complains for a stuck logo only! Can't use anymore and for him a no worth expensive phone with a lot of bugs hahaha! Well we don't know what he do, either he browse the net and affect his phone or download thins that mess his phone...

So here is the solution: Simple as Reinstall the software via SEUS, make it sure you have a good internet connection!

Finally I solved another water damaged iPhone 3G charging and USB detection problem, last time I encountered also same problem but I solved it via changing the so called maybe a charging IC. See my post here.

This time I already change almost all parts of the charging part and even the USB/Charging Controller. (Be carefull by changing this, you can brick your phone!.) I have still no luck for this so I decided to have a jumper solution posted by pinop here..
